Gandhi Jayanti Community Education & Values Program – Jajpur, Odisha
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Grow Together organized a community-centered educational initiative at Baliapal Ashram Bidyalaya, NadiaBhanga, Duburi (Jajpur), aimed at instilling the timeless values of peace, non-violence, and social responsibility among students and the local community.
This program was designed not only as a commemorative event but as a platform to promote value-based education, encouraging young minds to adopt principles of truth, self-reliance, compassion, and service—core ideals championed by Mahatma Gandhi.
Program Highlights
The initiative commenced with a peace rally, where students, teachers, and volunteers actively participated by marching through nearby areas. Carrying placards with Gandhian messages and raising awareness slogans on non-violence, cleanliness, and unity, the rally fostered strong community engagement and participation.
This was followed by a speech competition, where students from various grades showcased their understanding of Gandhian philosophy, reflecting on its relevance in today’s world. The activity encouraged critical thinking, confidence, and value-based learning.
A prize distribution ceremony recognized outstanding participants, reinforcing motivation and appreciation for student engagement and learning.
Community Engagement & Support
As part of the outreach, Grow Together ensured inclusive participation by distributing 100+ nutritious tiffin packets to students, reflecting the organization’s commitment to holistic well-being alongside education.
The program also served as a platform to promote civic responsibility, with key messages emphasizing:

The importance of education as a tool for empowerment
Stakeholder Acknowledgement
The initiative received strong support and appreciation from local leadership and school authorities, including the School Principal and community representatives, who recognized the program as a meaningful effort in shaping responsible and value-driven future citizens.

Through this initiative, Grow Together reinforced its commitment to education beyond academics—fostering character, leadership, and social awareness among students. By integrating value-based learning with community participation, the program contributed to building a foundation for responsible citizenship and inclusive growth.
